About the event
The second weekend regatta in the 2019/2020 winter series. This is a 2 day event.
3 Windward/leeward races/day, usually starting at 1200 hrs on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December. Sailing is out in Palma Bay, and you should leave at least an hour to get to the race course as the wind generally starts light, and builds later in the day.
The NoR will be available HERE in the week before each event.
The boat charter fee for this event is €250/boat, payable online. This includes getting your boat to the club, stepping the mast,one haul in, and one out. You arrive at the club, and the boat is ready for final personal preparations and going sailing. After racing, the charterer is expected to remove the sails, hose the boat off, remove any personal gear, and assist with any haul out. If you wish to arrive early for some practice, that is fine, just notify Aitor Torres at One Palma and he can ensure that your charter boat is available for you. His email is email@example.com
Boat insurance costs € 45 per day with a €500 insurance excess, payable in the event of an insurance claim. Insurance is payable online.
The entry fee for this regatta is €120 and can be paid online with your charter fee and insurance. Regatta entry includes use of the club facilites, and bar, a social event, on the Saturday night straight after sailing, typically a Mallorcian bar B Que, and some free beers for all sailors. We will also arrange a social later on Saturday night at a local restaurant or bar. One person per boat will be made a temporary member of the Viper Class Association.
What to bring;
Apart from sailing gear, the boats are devoid of any compasses or instruments, so if you want one, bring one. We have several Loos gauges, but if you have your own, please bring it. All the crew will need to wear personal bouyancy, so please bring life jackets with you.
